I’ve tried it all. Participated in college athletics, ran a couple of marathons, belonged to a string of gyms, played pick-up hoops and touch football, even did regular sessions with a personal trainer. I was never really that badly out of shape but I was also never really in-shape. Nor did I ever have a real definition of what it meant to be in-shape. Then about a year ago I came across CrossFit Montgomery County (CFMC).

The concepts and methods of CrossFit provide a blueprint for great fitness. Tai and Danielle at CFMC make the CrossFit blueprint reality by adapting it, teaching it, and programming it to incorporate strengths, weaknesses, variety, community, competition, safety and fun. They bring CrossFit to life everyday at CFMC. They’re both great blends of coach, mentor, (occasional philosopher), and teacher. While they both are capable of pushing their members beyond their limits, what really separates them is their breadth of knowledge and their professionalism with respect to safety and ensuring that their members perform the movements and exercises of CrossFit with as little risk of injury as possible. CrossFit on its own is a solid program; CFMC under Tai and Danielle’s leadership is an exceptional place populated with a great community. Did I mention that it is also hands down the absolute best dollar for dollar value in fitness that you can find – period.
