One of my favorite things is to do a CrossFit workout at one of the local globo-gyms. When I’m deep into the workout, sweating like a freak and panting like a thirsty dog on a hot day, I only wish I had a camera with me to take pictures of the expressions I get from the guy on the pec-deck machine resting between sets or the girl trying to read a magazine on the elliptical. Their eyes are all saying, “dude, you’re crazy.” Maybe so, but at least I’m good at it.
Today’s WOD:
“Helen”
3 rounds for time of:
400m run
1.5 pood (54 lbs.) kettlebell swings, 21 reps
12 pull-ups
If you don’t have a kettlebell, use a dumbbell, or something else really heavy. Just don’t throw it through the wall.
Post time (and any scaling or substitutions) to comments.

This was my first time doing “Helen” (I still can’t get over the way that sounds). I did it at a globo, and had about a 10 second lag between the treadmill and the kettlebells/power rack (read: pullup bar) due to the distance between them.
